Side effects of Keytruda and other immunosuppressants are variable, but it keeps people alive. Many patients tolerate it beset if they don’t have other diseases. I personally will try therapies but stop if they decease my quality of life. Most of us with lung cancer are older…….i think about this all the time. I want a fast death.
I guess I could say I have a minor rash too. I do not know how long the dry mouth last for as I still have it. The fatigue usually hits me 2 to 3 days after the infusion and lasts for a day or two. I still do not have the stamina back I had before I started Chemo in February You learn to deal with a new normal and how to get things done.

It's completely understandable to feel nervous before starting Keytruda (pembrolizumab) — many people feel the same way. The good news is that knowing what to expect can make it a little less daunting!

Hi Laura, I have been on it for almost five years. The only side affect that I have is the back of my hands itch a little and so do my lower legs close to my ankles. Not all the time! I go in every six weeks for an infusion. I bet you will do fine! Fred KC2HFM
