Hey Laura: I know it's hard. Just take one day at a time. I did start a check list which I found useful. I wrote down, everything(meds, treatments) and concerns I wanted to tell the doctor. It helps to remind myself. You take care.
Thank you for your input! I try to stay away from strong pain meds and only take 2 extra strength Tylenol most times. Night time, however, I take 5 mg of oxy to help me sleep because I can still only sleep on my back and I’m NOT a back sleeper! I don’t know yet if I will need any additional treatment. I see oncologist Tuesday and he will do tests. Yes we all heal differently. I’m glad you’re back to work and hope you are feeling well😀
Hey Laura: Yes, unfortunately, it takes time to recover from lung cancer surgery. Everyone is different as to their healing schedule.
For me I had alot of pain.
So, I tried to regain my ability to move but it was
slow. By the following month I started chemo. At that point I was busy dealing with side effects. Six months after chemo ended, I went back to work in home health. So, you have to set your own goals as to what you want to do. There are some general things that might assist with healing after surgery. Like a good diet, restful sleep, some appropriate exercise.,and a positive attitude. No one way to heal. Everyone is different.
Ain’t it the truth! And the fatigue! Thanks for reaching out. Wishing you the best❤️❤️
Yes, I had part of my left lobe taken Dec 16th and I am still feeling some pain and nerve itching as it heals. I am 74 and we do not heal as fast.
