Thank you everyone for listening to my thoughts regarding the lobectomy I had in 2022. I had another Keytruda treatment last Wednesday and was very tired the following day but doing much better now. Looking forward to celebrating my birthday before long. Very thankful to God to be alive since my survival has been in doubt more than once. That’s what we’re here for. I’m sorry you’re hurting. It is quite painful after a lobectomy. I cried in the hospital until they knocked out the pain so I could rest. It’s no walk in the park, but it does get better. Hang in there! ❤️

I had my upper right lobe removed on the 19th. Very very painful for two weeks after surgery. It started to be less painful after that. I am still taking pain meds because the pain is still bad just not as intense as before. Be mindful to use your spirometer and take small walks every day. But don’t do anything that can set you back. I tried to wipe up a spill on the floor and injured myself and it set me back so be careful with what you try to do.

Hello Debbie998. I had the middle lobe of my right lung removed in 2022 when I was 75 years old. I think younger people will have an easier time than I did. I spent 5 nights in the hospital after the surgery and I had pain and difficulty breathing. The great news is that I am doing well for someone who will turn 78 years old in a few days. Eric

Yes it is normal my friend. It's only been 1 week correct? What kind of pain meds? Ibuprofen is what I took at home. Do breathing exercises spirometer. Walk around . Feel better. You will get there. 🫶
