Members rallied around someone facing extreme pain from non-small cell lung cancer, offering heartfelt prayers and emphasizing the critical importance of honest communication with doctors about symptoms, pain levels, and fears so proper treatment can begin. Several members shared their own cancer journeys, including one who defied a 7% survival prediction through faith and determination, while others offered practical advice like nutritional shakes from Walmart (purchasable with food stamps), requesting social workers for financial assistance, and advocating for better pain management and proper biopsy procedures that minimize suffering. A recurring theme was leaning on faith in God's presence during the frightening and overwhelming cancer treatment process, with members encouraging each other to stay positive, never give up, and trust that healing is possible through both medical care and spiritual strength.

Today is actually a beautiful day. I’m hurting a little bit not much moving around a little bit more. Going to try to eat some pancakes today and try to build up my my body. I just can’t stand that I keep losing so much weight when all of this started I weighed about 160 pounds. I think I’m down to maybe 110 if I’m lucky I just can’t stand being nauseous all the time but other than all of that I’m blessed and it’s I would say a medium day today better than any and I’m sending Prayers Your Way, God bless.

I do get my meds filled on base so that’s a big help right there in itself and I pay co-pay on my daughter bills but I’m on a fixed income and I struggle paying a co-pay because I take care of three grandsons which are 7-10and 11 ,but this year they’ll be . 8-11 and 12 but the co-pay is taking a wind out of me but thank you and God bless sending prayers

Omg Samantha with doing the biopsy that way with needles and feeling all that pain! I'm so very sorry that you had to go through that sweetie. Did they mention the bronchonscopy procedure to you? That's the best way of having it done and they put you to sleep for that. If they didn't mention it, that wasn't a good Dr as they should've given you the choice of the different procedures to do that. I'm sure glad that you're done with that! Have you had a pet scan also? Thank you very much for your prayers for me and Yes, God will heal both of us my friend! I'll keep you posted and updated also. I'll be praying always for you also in Jesus' name Amen. Love you my friend! I hope you have a good night and can sleep well. Your friend, Connie

Wow Samantha, I can't believe they didn't give you the other options for your biopsy! That's insane of them! I feel for you with having to deal with that! They should've put you to sleep for that so you wouldn't feel anything! Not a good Pulmologist Dept. at all! My husband and I don't like driving on the interstate either unless we have to. There's a lot of crazy drivers out there and they could cause accidents. I'm glad you were able to drive home after that. Hugs, Prayers and God Bless you always my friend! Your friend, Connie🙏❤️🙏
