I had a lobectomy via VATS in Augus 2022. I am getting really sharp stabbing pains in my ribs that seem to be getting more painful, not less. Sitting up for long periods seems to make it worse. I am wondering if anyone else has had this kind of experience?
Just seen this question, I have lung cancer and they took most of my right lung out and yes after a year now I still get pains and sometimes bad ones but Drs said most is coming from ribs they had to crack to get in to do there work. I have to say this was the most painful recovery I ever had but well worth having.
It depends on type of cancer.
Thank you! That’s a real possibility! I’m having a CAT on Feb 1. I’m going to ask them to check it out. I haven’t had any bra issues than goodness! 😂

Thank you for your response! I agree! I’ve had both knees replaced, two major surgeries and a shoulder surgery! This is definitely the most uncomfortable! If it wasn’t for the broken rib I’d be great!
