God bless you, Racerart!!! 🙏🏻 (This post got lost to me so just know got the email you replied.) You are certainly an inspiration. I’m sorry to hear you’re back on chemo and having radiation. I had radiation in June 2021…5 strong doses. I had a thoracentesis last month to take fluid off my lung…side effect from the radiation. Keep the faith! It sounds like you are, tho. It’s wonderful you bought a bike! Have fun but be safe! No chasing the girls!! 😂😂
I had anaphylaxis my 2nd treatment. Highly allergic to Carbo. They did a ‘desensitization’ in the hospital that didn’t work. Tried a 4th time and still had a reaction. Drs switched me to Taxotere+Cyramza. My last treatment was Jan. 3, 2022!
I’m glad to say I’m no NED!! Just found out last month.
I’ll be keeping you in my prayers, sir!
Hugs!
Almost one year later, more radiation to lung area, back on 21 day chemo routine, and still doing OK. Of course, many changes…down 20#, less stamina, memory issues (chemo brain + radiation to brain, + age) but NoPain so I consider each day a new gift. We do as much as I can handle. Just bought an electric scooter/bike so I can have more mobility outdoors, but still ride my Trek too. And I am heading towards 81 on June 1st, so truly blessed. Keep your mind positive and Live each day!😊
Thank you. I keep all cancer victims and their families in prayers 🙏🏼
My husband is on Carboplatin and etopeside now and he is extremely tired, every time he sits down he’s asleep within five minutes and he has the metal taste slightly but taking zinc and it helps
Carboplatin kicked my butt..... off it now and much better. I felt exhausted, lost taste, but iI did show improvement on recent PET scan after being o it for 6 months. My protocol is chemo every 21 days. I’ve also had 15 days of radiation to brain and chest area.
