Members rallied around someone needing to gain weight before chemo and radiation, sharing strategies like eating smaller meals every two hours, adding calorie-dense toppings such as cream cheese, ranch dressing, or nut butter to every dish, and incorporating high-protein foods like Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, chicken, and protein shakes blended with ice cream or peanut butter. Several members emphasized the importance of balanced nutrition over simply chasing calories, with one sharing their success in regaining 40 pounds through frequent, nutrient-rich meals after losing 50 pounds following a heart attack and cancer diagnosis. A recurring theme was the value of consulting a dietician who specializes in cancer nutrition to tailor a safe and effective plan, especially if other conditions like diabetes are present.

I strongly suggest you speak to a Dietician who specializes in diets for cancer patients. One question I am sure they will ask is "Do you have any other underlying Medical Conditions such as Diabetes?" (Hypo or Hyperglycemia). This is an extremely important question. Again, I would consult with you Oncologist or Hemotologist before making any dietary changes.
