Many prayers for the best scan results, Marcy. As for any chemo/radiation management, they had me take Prilosec which prevented any side effects to my esophagus. Prescribed cough medication, even Mucinex, to control any dry cough so you can sleep uninterrupted. Fatigue-just sleep when you feel like it! All six weeks I was able to drive myself for treatment, so it's not so bad. The radiation tmt takes only 5-10 minutes.
I did both for 6 weeks. Rough at times but tolerable. Some days I was just wiped out.
I had chemo then radiation and immunotherapy and I have to admit that the radiation was one of the most fatiguing treatments probably because it was not as close to Home and I drove myself back-and-forth every day. I actually hated it, but it’s because I’m also very claustrophobic. I was thrilled when it was over.
I'm sorry you got through all that and now have issues with immunotherapy. But you have encouraging me. Thank you!
I had chemo and radiation together stage 3 nsclc inoperable. Chemo and radiation wasn't bad.Doing immunotherapy now.Have alot more side effects. Very low iron. Iron Pills doing no good.Got to have iron transfusion.
