I have 2 primary cancers, lung and breast. I have undergone a thorocotomy/lobectomy, removal of upper left lung, followed by 6 doses of 4 different chemos and 30 radiation treatments. This August will be 2 years since diagnosis. Anyone else in a similar situation?
Thanks for sharing Roberta!
Hi Annette, you’ve been through a lot, but thank God you marked 2 years;
I had 2 primary cancers also, but not the same as you; in 2021 I had breast cancer 2A stage, then in 2022 lung cancer , primary also, but stage 1A; lobectomy on lower left lung, no other treatment following
At 2 years mark in December I am better, but used already with some not so good days when breathing is harder, or when I feel my stomach full after few bites;
Following at 6 months with CTs for lung, and mammograms for breast
Exercising every day is very important, at least walking if you don’t have energy for more
I have 2B ADENOCARCINOMA, with no other Cancers. I've had mine 22 months. Had my lower left lobe removed. I went through a round of Chemo, then started on Keytruda. I had to stop the Keytruda as it gave me pneumonitis. So no more, I still have groundglass opacities from it.
Stage 2B NSCLC means the main tumor is 3 centimeters or larger, and may have spread into the main airway, nearby lymph nodes, visceral pleura, chest wall, or the lining surrounding the heart. There could also be multiple tumors within the same lung lobe, though the cancer hasn't spread to other parts of the body. The Show Full Answer
