Hello Cindy,
How long did your doctor say he would be on the immunotherapy?
He should have a CT scan every 3-4 months to monitor how the therapy is doing.
I was on Keytruda immunotherapy infusions every 3 weeks for 2 years.
What is he getting?
Stay positive!
Tony

The next steps in your husband's treatment will depend on how he responds to the current immunotherapy. For stage 3 lung cancer patients who have completed chemoradiation, immunotherapy like durvalumab has shown promising results, with studies showing improved survival rates. Nearly 50% of patients receiving immunotherapy were still alive four years later, compared to 36% who didn't receive it. During immunotherapy treatment, your husband's medical team will monitor him for common side effects which can include fatigue, nausea, skin rashes, and flu-like symptoms. Regular check-ups will help determine how well the treatment is working and if any adjustments are needed.

The best person to discuss the specific next steps would be your husband's oncologist, as they can evaluate his individual response to the current treatment and recommend the most appropriate path forward based on his particular case.
