Members shared their experiences getting the RSV vaccine after lung cancer diagnosis, with many confirming their doctors strongly recommended it alongside flu and COVID vaccines to protect compromised lungs. Several members highlighted significant cost differences, with some paying nearly $400 out of pocket while others found free coverage through Medicare Part D, VA benefits, or prescription insurance plans like CVS. A recurring theme was confusion about age eligibility and insurance coverage, prompting advice to check with pharmacies or doctors offices beforehand, and gratitude for discovering veteran benefits and assistance programs that made vaccines more accessible.

Yes , I was advised to have flu and Covid injections, which I had a couple of weeks ago and have not had any bad reactions.

I got my COVID and high dose Flu vaccines early October. But now after having a lobectomy, I was wondering if RSV vaccines are highly recommended for folks with diminished lung power? Will likely get mine scheduled up ASAP. Thanks!
