An, sorry you’re husband is having to deal with this! I can only imagine how stressful this is for you both. I’ve never dealt with this but it seems four months is too long a time frame! I’m not quite sure how NIH works over there but if you can get a new doctor you might want to consider that. I’d be as aggressive as possible to get resolution.
He's seen numerous doctors, and been in hospital a few times. They're saying he has an air pocket in his lung and the bacteria (pneumonia)has made itself at home in there. His Oncologist is now involving the respiratory team to try and get answers. He's been on dozens of antibiotics and they've spoken about a possible bronchoscopy to clear it out, but nothing seems to be happening. And he can't have his full treatments until they've got a handle on this sputum/infection. Has anyone got any advice or has anyone experienced something similar? We're both very tired and frustrated.....xx
