Sometimes I cough so hard I vomit. Any one else having this problem?
Teresa, sorry that you are experiencing this. I had horrible coughing after my first surgery and coughing up blood. I sometimes felt like I may have vomited, but never did. My doctor gave me some prescription cough medicine along with giufen/Mucinex that helped ease the cough. If you have not already, please discuss with your care team and hopefully they can give you something to help you. Best.
I had bad coughing fits when I would lie down. I spent many nights in the spare room to keep from waking my wife. Robitussin helped a little if I drank it 30-45 minutes before bedtime.
During the first spring of COVID I wore a bandana as a face mask to cover the swollen lymph nodes in my neck. I coughed all the time. A number of times I saw people at the store look at me in fear. I would tell them, "Don't worry, I just have throat cancer." Then they would move away from me like it to was contagious.
Hope they can give you something to help!

“Coughing fits “ are terrible. I have them, makes me not want to go anywhere or have company. I just hate when I am around people and it happens. I am sure that people who don’t know me think I should not be out in public spreading germs everywhere, although I do keep Kleenex handy. I use toliet paper when I’m home as sometimes it seems like Kleenex are more linty and cause me to cough and choke more.
