I have a chemo bag with snacks, drinks, a book, charger cable and wall charger plug, headphones (ear buds or headphones are usually required if you want to to watch a video or social media with sound). My chemo center provides lunch but different centers offer different things so good to check if breakfast, lunch, or nothing is provided. I been to 3 chemo units and saw all 3 offerings. You can bring crafts like crochet, knitting or embroidery. Puzzle books like find a word. Anything to pass the time comfortably. Chemo day can be literally hours from your labs to when the last infusion bag is done. I don't get cold during chemo but a lot of people do so a lap blanket or sweater is a good idea in case you get cold. Pack what you like for a day of chillin in a chair 😀
I bought it at drug store - no prescription needed and applied it one hour before and covered with Saran Wrap as well
I would find someone else 2nd opinions are good.
Wendy they wan't to put in a port using the same medication as with my lung biopsy. (Which was a nightmare!Felt everything) How painful is it to get (using medication that doesn't work)? I am supposed to get a biopsy of the neck but decided against it. My oncologist doesn't listen to my concerns and just says We can't use general anesthia. He didn't even tell me I needed a port--The hospital called and told me after my doctor's visit. 🤬 The surgeon says he can't do surgery and it it Stage 3A not 2 😔
Tyvm Wendy That info was so helpful! ❤️ I go on 8/8 to talk with a nurse for all the details. Was at the center today because my insurance doesn't cover chemotherapy 😢 Had to sign papers to try to get grants. Also issues concerning getting a port.(which will be my next question). I hope you are having a good day.
