Hi Paula
My nodules were Ground Glass Opacites. Most Ground Glass Opacites are not cancerous so mine were watched for several years until
they became concerning. We decided to be aggressive instead of waiting another 6 months for another scan. Ebus procedure was negative for cancer. They did not do a needle biopsy as didn't think could get enough specimen to test. I had a wedge resection on Oct 21, 2022 and it was cancer and larger than scans indicated. I had a lobectomy on Oct 25, 2022. I am stage 1b and cancer free at this time. I am very blessed.
Wishing you the best. Sending positive vibes and hugs.
Pam
I get my results off of the patient portal before I see my oncologist too. I then spend the time googling what the findings mean until I see the doc.
Hi Paula,
I've had the same finding on most of my PET scans, going back to the beginning of last year. It changes. Sometimes more wide spread, sometimes less. 4 months ago we tried a week of antibiotics, but the PET scan 2 months later didn't show a lot of improvement. So far it doesn't seem to affect me.
Stay positive!
Tony
I get that! I read mine wrong the first time and gave myself quite a scare. 😣
I no longer look at my reports before seeing my oncologist—too scary!
