Linda,
I've had a persistent 8-9mm nodule on my scans for 20 months since finishing immune-chemotherapy for 8 others that lit up on PET scans. This one was 8mm then and has only grown 1mm since, but does not light up. I'm waiting on the results of my latest PET/CT scan, so we'll see what it's doing. I also have suspicious, persistent globular opacities we are watching.
But, yes, non-cancerous nodules are actually pretty common.
Stay positive!
Tony
Waiting sucks all around
Hey there,
It came out better than my previous 4 or 5. The opacities that had been in both lungs has partially gone away. I had a week of antibiotics 2 months ago aiming to knock out ant infection.
I also had a good colonoscopy this morning, so in high spirits now.
Stay positive!
Tony
@A MyLungCancerTeam Member Was wondering how your scans went last Friday. Keeping good vibes for you!
Wendy yes it also said that it is too small for pet scan or biopsy. Recommend another CT in three months. I understand that, but I was just wondering if anybody’s turned out benign after having cancer. I think it’s the waiting that drives me crazy.
