Thanks for the reply, Shawn. I hope you are doing okay. Do you think you mind/thinking/remembering was affected?
Nancy,
The first indication I had was multiple lung nodules on a screening chest CT in 2018. They were all sub-centimeter in size and we hoped they were signs of emphysema. The were slightly larger in 2019, so we continued monitoring. In 2020 I was diagnosed with Stage IV Throat Cancer with a lymph node involved. I was successfully treated with radio-chemotherapy and have had NED since. In 2022 the nodules had grown and began showing FDG uptake. We still had to wait 6 more months for a couple of them to grow large enough for a biopsy. It came back as the same type of cancer cells as the throat cancer, so we found the primary site and I was diagnosed with Stage IV SCC NSCLC. This time treatment was chemo plus immunotherapy. I'm still on Keytruda immunotherapy with good results.
Staying positive!
Tony
Hi Nancy
I was diagnosed with lung cancer that went to my brain and is my left adrenal gland. I had 2 weeks of radiation on my brain and on last MRI it was gone.
Yes mine started off in left upper lung then went to lymph nodes and brain. I had 1. 45 radiation treatment to brain.
No they found a small lesion on my liver. Just finished chemotherapy with immunotherapy. Immunotherapy will be started on a 3 week schedule
