I had my upper right lobe removed. It sucks big time.

No I had no immunotherapy after. My Dr said that since my lobe was removed and the 18 lymph nodes were negative no further treatment was necessary. I heard they sometimes do immunotherapy as a precautionary measure. Have a great day

I bet you are scared and very nervous for surgery on Tuesday. I know I was. The waiting is the hardest part.
I spent 2 days in the hospital. It was painful but once they removed the chest tube it was a lot better. Plus I was on pain medication to help. They had me up walking the first night, not fun. X-Rays were done each morning. When you need to cough, I suggest you get a pillow and hold it to your chest. It helps with the pain.
When I went home, I slept on our recliner chair for 3 weeks as it was the only place I could get comfortable. At 2 weeks post surgery, I found out I was also experiencing nerve pain and was put on medication. That helped with the burning sensation. I had no idea what nerve pain was, so be sure you tell your Dr what you are feeling. I was extremely exhausted and short winded the first month or 2.
I think I am just a very slow healer. Each person heals at their own pace. What I experienced does not mean that you will. I had my upper right lobe removed and you are having the middle and lower lobes removed. There are people on here who had this surgery and are getting back to normal life shortly after.
