I haven't tried it, but at one point it was suggested. After hearing of so many that had debilitating side effects, I turned it down and went a different route. I went back to a single drug (Altima) and it seems to be working with limited side effects. Mainly fatigue/anemia. I do other things with my integrated oncologist so that might be making a difference. It's hard to know what's helping when you're doing more than one thing.

Altima is Pemetrexed. I started with it in combination with Carboplatin. Then tried immunotherapy. Now I'm back on just Pemetrexed. I also had them lower the dose to make it tolerable. You can ask your oncologist if an option for you would be to lower your dose. From what I hear it's not uncommon to lower the dose if the side effects get too bad. I do the integrated oncologist treatments along side so that helps build my immune system and with side effects also.

i wish i could do integrated oncologist. We are either going to lower the dose or stop it. Probably stop it and I continue on the other. I don't think my insurance covers integrative oncology.
