I found out today it is a CT needle biopsy- so conscious sedation would be a good thing! I am a nurse too and have seen many things - but not this one.

I a total of 3 CT needle biopsies under conscious sedation, each time I woke up and watched, and dozed off again. Having been a nurse for 43 years I am always curious about procedures I haven't seen. I watched my heart Cath on big screen TV. But remember our pain tolerance and anxiety levels are all different. Ask questions of your care team. They will guide u on pre procedure needs

. But I only have a lung nodule at stage one. Has not spread .

I had my biopsy almost two years ago. All told, it probably took 45 minutes. I was awake, a little sleepy, no pain or side effects. I am being treated at MSK in NYC . I was on crizotinib for six months, It helped with the cancer but I had bad side effects . swollen legs and sores. Off that n March 1923.. Cancer remained the same. Started to act up. Put on Keytruda fusion Oct. 1923. Had one treatment in October and one in November. Side effects, rash and itching.. Took me off and cancer has been reduced by 50%..No more fusions...see how the immune therapy keeps working, Itching and rash are bothersome but can be okay to take if it reduces the cancer, I do have shortness of breath but I am doing pretty good for 93
