Stay ahead of the nausea and you will be OK. Also stay ahead of constipation. Between the antinausea meds and MiraLAX I did ok. Rest when you need to.
My kemothepy experience was calming, soothing my kemothepy nurses answered my questions directly without word salads my lung cancer symptoms have disapatedand I feel like like the tumerrsn the middle of my chest have gotten smaller I haven't experienced any nausea yet was told to talk my anti nausea medicine even beforehand so it been no puking I am experiencing mild exhaustion but nothing painful I took a bus home and walked from the transit station back to my home sleep for 3 hours and had a snack woke up at 9pmand watched television I go back for my second cycle in August so I'm not only looking forward to this treatment I have confidence I'm heading in the right direction for the first time since my diagnosis
My first kemothapy went beautiful my symptoms in my lungs and my coughing stopped no nausea at all I had the best nurses explaining each step of the treatment my next appointment is for August 7th I feel very confident on my treatments and with the Lord's help I see myself beating this cancer
Looking back on my chemo days for the most part you will lead normal days. I would get hit usually about 2 or 3rd day after chemo but would do ok after. I mainly was just so sick, but antinausea meds do help.
