My dad is very angry most of the time, getting upset at small things at me, my mom and my brother. What is the recommended way I can handle this? How would all the parents here wish their children to do in this situation? Thank you

Hi that is a tough situation to navigate. I would suggest getting help for yourself, talking to a therapist, There isn’t much you can do about his anger but you do have to take care of yourself, Hugs💟
I have 2 say Al, that I didn't have a very good relationship with my dad- it was a love/ hate kinda thing and he was VERY verbally abusive! But when he fell ill (end of life) I took care of him just as I did with my mom years b4- i felt it was my responsibility per circle of life- and I wouldn't change it 4 anything! Just know that ur doin right even if it ain't by him...and u will feel good about it 1 day knowing that u did right!!!!💜💜 and prayers
alHarmandar,
Both my dad and my brother were angry guys, Too angry, when I matured I moved away and returned only for serious events, as I reject anger as a coping mechanism. They are dead now, Frankly I don’t miss them, but I miss my mom very much as she was so kindhearted. I have been with many dying people, being in Oncology research all my life. All the people I watched die were given enough drugs to stop that behavior, but of course, that is just that final step to death. I personally married a great man and we never got angry, he was a sweetheart, but died suddenly 3.5 years ago. I will never stop loving him,
I suggest you visit as needed but you can’t really change an angry person. We have to accept that, I personally moved away for a better life, but now I am lonely, but cope well. Good fortune to you.

I went to a psychiatrist who with meds and talking has helped me tremendously
Acknowledge his anger, he had every right to be angry, you can tell him you are angry too. Be mad together, cry together and if possible laugh a little.
