New immunotherapy Tarlatamab by Amgen

Sister went on this new treatment from Amgen tarlatamab
I’m trying to locate others who have used this newest immunotherapy
I would like to know if anyone has tried this and has had bad side effects from it?
My sister had small problems for the 1st 2 doses, then the 3rd dose more problems, besides fatigue, weakness and difficulties that go with sadly stage 4 cancer =(

Has anyone experienced severe side effects from tarlatamab immunotherapy?

I'm so sorry to hear about what your sister is going through. That sounds incredibly difficult for both of you.

Tarlatamab is a newer immunotherapy that works by bringing lung cancer cells and immune cells closer together so the immune system can better target the cancer. Because it's relatively new, there may be fewer people who have shared their experiences with it yet.

Common side effects that have been reported include:

* Fatigue and weakness
* Muscle and joint pain
* Nausea and digestive issues
* Changes in blood test results

However, like other immunotherapies, tarlatamab can sometimes cause more serious reactions. The severe weakness and mobility issues your sister experienced—especially the falls and needing hospitalization—sound like they may be related to the treatment affecting her overall strength and possibly her nervous system or muscles.

Important considerations:
