Battling Stage IV Throat and Lung Cancer since 2020.
I'm living in stage IV now for a little over 5 yrs. I was a research patient that paid for all my surgeries and treatments, the drug company covered the meds. The program had 21 patients and we didn't know each other. My Oncologist only said that I was discussed at a roundtable seminar of oncology and my case is in a medical journal, then he tells me when he stopped all treatments on 03/08/25 because of too many side effects from Ketruda that I'm the last survivor in my group. That weighs on my mind Why Me?? I'm beyond blessed, yet I feel some guilt. My wife walked away 2 yrs into my treatment and had to learn to really push to do for myself. I'd drive myself roughly 18 miles one way for chemo treatments and quickly drive home before the nausea started. I lost 47lbs and can't gain any back. Im supposed to eat small meals several times a day but I just don't want food. I know nutrients are important yet don't care if I eat anything. I'm too sedentary as well.
I would speak w my oncologist. Major depression might require médecin which can be very helpful.💚🙏🏻
