I have a lot of scar tissue and they just say it's not measurable. I think they can't see it for the scar tissue. Makes breathing much more difficult.
It can be from inflammation or even potentially radiation induced preumonitis. Your team should be monitoring this for you.
My 3rd bout of Lung cancer I had radiation and trouble with breathing since 1st 2 times a piece of lung was taken out Middle right lobe and upper Left
My experience...4 months after chemo/radiation I had a CT scan. What it did show was some "patchy ground glass" appearance which my Dr.'s attributed to inflammation as I had a very bad case of pneumonitis. Otherwise, no new nodules, just some consolidation, which is due to scar tissue. Followed by a PET 4 months later...no evidence of any disease, but the scarring. Next is a follow up in 4 months again with a PET. My oncology radiologist suggested 6 mos, but my oncologist said, no 4 months! Listening to my oncologist.
My radiation Oncologist said it takes a year before there is any changes if there are going to be any
