When I was diagnosed with stage 4 NSCLC my doctor said he no longer considers it terminal it's a chronic health condition. He has patients going on over 10 years with stage 4. It was very hopeful.

Cat scan is targeted area. Pet scan is whole body. When I was first diagnosed I had a cat scan, pet scan and brain mri. I have cat scans now every three months and I’ve had one other pet scan.

My 79 year old aunt hasn’t been officially diagnosed yet. There is, however, 2 inch spiculated mass on her lung doctors are feeling worrisome for cancer. She is having edema in her legs and most recently her arms and fingertips. Her biopsy is scheduled for August 8. Does anybody have any idea what stage this may be at? Her only symptoms so far are the edema.
