Personally Shelley, I have my 4th 3-month scan next. After that, I will go every 6 months. I can't imagine your doctor/radiologist would schedule so many as to be harmful. I suggest you ask your health care provider directly. There are some risks of course but finding another tumor quickly, I feel outweighs the risks.

I've had CT scans every 3 -6 months since November 5th, 2019. I have never questioned anything the Dr recommended. I'm a nurse and worked 32yr hospital, SNF, Dr. office. Home health care. Maybe my trust my Dr's, and I believe that Our Lord, will protect me. My journey hasn't been easy, from diagnosis to CT Scan yesterday. No significant danger to my knowledge. I get breast scans frequently too. If I had not be scanned, I would have been diagnosed too late. I will continue scans until age 90. I am 77 now, I think we don’t scan people early enough to diagnosis Stage 1………..which increases patient deaths. Michele Wilson 

Hey Shelley: I know it's anxiety provoking to take CT's to check for possible changes. But, as Mike said: the benefits outweigh the risks. We can only do what we can to help ourselves. I try to remind myself to be grateful I can receive good medical care despite the risks. You take care.

I guess. Too bad there wasn't another way to monitor, though.
