Once you complete your radiation treatment for lung cancer, how many months do they wait to do testing to see if it was successful.

Hello - he did the one zap for subcentimeter nodule in brain and per the mri they did prior to zap, he had only the one. He has not started the radiation for lung nodule and lymph area yet. In Jan and Feb he had so many ct scans, X-ray, mri, with our without contrast, I think after the brain zap they are giving him a break, but we should start that within a week. The contrast seemed to bother him, and I hope to start radiation in chest they can map and do everything without that. Do they start checking for cancer again around 6 mths after radiation is complete?

Tomorrow is my 6 month ✔️up (surgery was in 2022) so I’m nervous as always!!
