I had my first lobectomy in my left upper lobe 20 years ago. It came back in my mid right lobe wedge resection 5 years later. Then surprise back right upper lobe 5 years after that, was good for 10 years and then a nodule showed up a few weeks ago but cleared on its own. It's all been adenocarcinoma I have not come out and asked what stage for a few years but was told I am stage 1. No lymph node involvement. I just want it to stay gone or stable no matter what stage. I wish everyone the best.
They have come so far with new treatments for lung cancer. I was told after all I have been through there is still radiation therapy available which at least there are options. Please always have hope and continue to fight. I wish you the best.
I am glad you are doing well. I have been having alot of anxiety with every follow up. It is encouraging to hear that you have overcome adenocarcinoma multiple times. That gives me hope! I read that a high percent of patients pass away before their 5 year mark. Thank you for sharing!
There is an article on this site about staging.
I will ask again, but that is what I was told. It was as though my lungs were sprinkled with nodules in multiple area's that were all stage 1.
