Alimta side effects?

Hi everyone! I got the best news yesterday!!! All of my tumors are gone except the primary and it has shrank from 9cm to 3cm!!! I completed 4 cycles of carboplatin/Alimta and I take Tagrisso. My question is, has anyone just had Alimta by itself? I got REALLY sick with the carbo/alitma combo. My body is still not producing neutrophils. I'm thinking about asking doctor if we can just do Tagrisso. I really want to go back to work and start this new chapter in life. I can't go back to work because I… read more

Cisplatin, Carboplatin et al are Platinum based and about as hard as any. It worked well but like you I was very sick

I understand why you'd like to return to work, but I am so grateful that I'm retired and can focus on taking care of me. Can you qualify for temporary disability? I'd be concerned about infections.
