How do you all feel about Covid and Flu vaccines? I'm scared to get them but I'm also scared not too. I always get sick slightly with Covid

How do you all feel about Covid shots and flu shots? I'm scared to get them but also scared not to. I usually get slightly sick with Covid shot but not usually with flu shot. Being that we're imunodepressed do to chemo and immunotherapy, I'm wondering what I should do? Any suggestions?

My oncologist said no on the covid vaccine and yes on old school (not mRNA) flu shot. Always check with your doc to see if you can even have the vaccine.

I did the Covid and one booster years ago but see no point in getting another as it is proven to be very very ineffective. I ask why take something that only lasts a month or two - maybe. So this year where I also got lung cancer, surgery, adjuvant chemo and still doing Keytruda, I actually got Covid and my Oncologist gave me a prescription for Paxlovid. knocked it out in 2 days. The original Covid of 2020 could easily take your life - the current variant(s) not so much. Lots of stories circulating about Covid Vaccine and cancer.

I never received the COVID-19 vaccine because of multiple underlying conditions. Still, I never got COVID-19, mainly because I followed the advice of doctors and scientists. The same is true for flu shots.

My doctor recommended I get my covid booster,flu shot and RSV. I did so in Sept. With a weakened immune system ( from chemo) I'll take all the help I can get. If in doubt check with your doctor since a few people's doctor have not advised them to get there shots.
