My bruising and bleeding have become significant but both are just annoyances but messy when the bleeding begins due to an minor scrape or cut.

Members responded to a question about experiencing increased bruising and bleeding while on Keytruda, with experiences varying widely from no issues at all to frequent skin tears and slower healing. Several members emphasized the importance of getting platelet counts checked, monitoring blood sugar closely (especially for those with diabetes, as both Keytruda and steroids can worsen glucose control), and reporting any new symptoms to medical teams before each treatment. A recurring theme was that while Keytruda is highly effective and well-tolerated by many, side effects differ significantly from person to person, and staying proactive with doctors about any changes is essential for safe and successful treatment.

I was told that my diabetes may have been caused by Keytruda. I was having high glucose numbers prior to Keytruda treatment but after Keytruda the glucose numbers were excessive. I now take 2000 mg of Metformin and low dose Jardiance daily and the glucose numbers are much better but not perfect. Keytruda is great for many others and also me but there are some negative side effects. Read about Keytruda and my side effects are mentioned on the Keyruda website. My side effects are not as severe and negative as what some others experience. Eric

Thank you Tony. I have only experienced bleeding and bruising within the last few weeks. Nothing prior. Eric

I've been on Keytruda since Sep '22 and don't experience increased bruising or bleeding.
You should have your platelet count checked.
Stay positive!
Tony
