I am currently stage 1A and I know that could change after surgery and biopsies of tissue and lymph nodes. I am hopeful that I will still be considered stage 1 and have had a successful surgery. I have been educating myself the best I can to prepare for before, during and after. Thanks.
Hello, thanks for the helpful tips and encouragement. I am already more relaxed after reading stories from others who had similar surgery. Wonderful that you are doing well and cancer free. I have been reading as much as I can to help with my recovery and your tips are very helpful. I will post updates after my surgery.
Yes, thanks so much it does help. So happy that your surgery went well, and all came back clean. Congratulations on being cancer free! I am praying for the same outcome. I hope you continue to improve each day and get stronger.
I had a Rats Segmenectomy on my Right upper Lung a month ago. It went smoothly with no complications. I was in the Hospital 3 days. My Cancer was 1A3 Squamous Cell. All my Margins & Lymph nodes came back clean so I’m Cancer free!
At home I have an Adjustable Bed and I had to sleep almost sitting up on my back for about 3 weeks. I had a lot of Nerve Pain “Zingers” afterwards but Gabapentin really helped! I’m feeling much better now no more zingers and way less pain, The only lingering thing for me is fatigue, I take a nap every day.
I’m really glad I went this route.. no regrets!
Hope this helps … Good luck 👍🏻

Thanks for the great advice, encouragement and kind words. Everyone on this site is so caring, kind and supportive. It is hard to talk with family friend who really do not understand the feeling of knowing you have cancer. I noted a few more items on my list that I did not think about until your comments. 😊 PS I like your kitty pic, I have four cats.
