Jerry, I started with 4 rounds of carboplatin-etoposide with tecentriq and 10 radiation treatments. I had gamma knife for brain mets 4 months after initial diagnosis. Tumor in lung grew 10 months after diagnosis so had 4 more rounds of carboplatin-etoposide with imfinzi. Imfinzi alone lasted almost a year. Then put on Zepzelca for almost a year. During that time another gamma knife session and radiation to rib and vertebrae. When tumor started to grow again, went back to carboplatin-etoposide with tecentriq in Oct 202 but this time 6 rounds. March of this year, 3rd
session of gamma knife. So YES, I've had chemo, immunotherapy, radiation and gamma knife. Recently they confirmed SCLC in a lymph node along right side.
I've been fortunate that I haven't been that sick with any of this. I'm 78.
Yes, I did when first diagnosed. In fact that and the pneumonia diagnosis from family Dr was what proceeded my SCLC dx. The fluid was causing the collapse. I had a pleural catheter for about 5 months. Husband drained about 500 ml at first then it very slowly decreased till it was removed. Still have small amount of fluid that shows on all scans.
Mine was only partial of right upper ----
Wow. Have you had chemo or radiation? I was little worried since it is spreading faster than I like. Hard time breathing. Any tips ?
