Vera...I have the same a as you...NSCLC and not a candidate for chemo so went through the 5 rounds of intense radiation. Same for me.... No lymph nodes involved and my last CT scans showed no new growths. My radiation oncologist (whom I love and trust explicitly) said last week that for another 3-5 yrs of scans every 3 months for another 3 yrs, then every 6 months for another 2 yrs, then and only then will they say it's gone - for now. Everyone has cancer in their body.... If it's triggered by some influence, smoking, etc., the chance of it rearing its ugly head is possible. Sweetie, I'm a 74 yr old widow (for 17 yrs), live alone and work a full time job. When I was diagnosed in May 2022, I got my cremation arrangements done and paid for and said to myself, "God's will, not mine, be done! It is what it is, nothing in life is guaranteed but certain death, so live, laugh, and love one day at a time." And so I do. My prayers up every night for those addicted/afflicted/affected by cancer, et al. Be positive and keep on keeping on. We're blessed! ❤️

I have small-cell lung cancer also. I had 60 rounds of radiation and 5 sets of chemo. One doctor thought my tumor after all this was fibrous tissue, and the other thought it was still a cancerous tumor. The second doctor was right as it has now metastasized and is in my left lung also. You cannot have surgery with small cell. I start my second set of Chemotherapy with three different drugs on Wednesday and am very worried. This is such an aggressive cancer.

I haven't had to have fluid drained. Is yours still in your lung?

how did you do with the fluid drainage, i have had it done 2 times and didnt do so well, the second one was very painful i could hardly stand it as they were draining it, they couldnt get it all cause i was in so much pain
