  • Digital oncology company GRYT Health will host its third annual Global Virtual Cancer Conference (GVCC) from Nov. 11 through 13.
  • GVCC will feature a range of events including art therapy, guided relaxation, and yoga.
  • Cancer survivors, people in cancer treatment, and caregivers are among those encouraged to attend.

On Nov. 11 through 13, digital oncology company GRYT Health will host its third Global Virtual Cancer Conference — an online conference created by and for cancer survivors, people in treatment, and caregivers. This free event will begin at 7 p.m. EST on Thursday, Nov. 11, and will conclude at 6 p.m. EST on Saturday, Nov. 13.

Partnering with research and advocacy organizations including the Lung Cancer Initiative and the LUNGevity Foundation, GVCC will provide a range of educational sessions, as well as resources for cancer advocacy.

“We’re proud to partner with health care organizations who are working toward this same goal by elevating the patient voice and collectively bringing the GVCC experience to patients and caregivers wherever they are,” said Dave Craig, a two-time cancer survivor and the co-founder and CEO of GRYT Health, in a press release for the event.

The conference agenda offers an array of events designed to educate, empower, and connect those living with cancer, cancer survivors, and their caregivers and loved ones. Some sessions on the schedule include:

  • “The Whole Wide World of Clinical Trials”
  • “I’m Metastatic, Now What?”
  • “The Relationship Dynamics of Cancer”
  • “This Shyt Lasts Forever — Dealing With Long Term Side Effects”
  • “The Evolution of Care — Harnessing the Power of Your Immune System”

Sessions for caregivers include “Balancing Your Humanity as a Cancer Care Provider” and “How To Care for the Caregiver.” GVCC will also feature several interactive sessions, such as morning yoga, guided deep relaxation, an interactive magic show, and an “art-along.”

GVCC welcomes “anyone who has been impacted by cancer” to attend, including people living with cancer, survivors, caregivers, and loved ones. Also welcomed are those interested in playing a role in cancer awareness and advocacy, including policymakers, health care providers, activists, and more.

The conference will be hosted on gvcc21.com, with live sessions conducted via Zoom. The online programs also include the option for interactive chat.
