I haven’t done anything yet. The radiologist said he wouldn’t do it due to the lupus. I was just wondering what others might of been told or done

That's a great question! While there aren't specific shared experiences from MyLungCancerTeam members about stereotactic therapy combined with a KRAS G12C mutation at stage 1, there is encouraging information about both topics separately.

Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) has shown strong results for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). A 10-year clinical study found that SBRT works just as well as surgery for stage 1 NSCLC, with similar survival rates and potentially an easier recovery. Regarding the KRAS G12C mutation, there are now FDA-approved targeted therapies available:

- Sotorasib (Lumakras) – approved in 2021 for NSCLC with KRAS G12C mutations
- Adagrasib (Krazati) – approved in 2022 for stage 3 or 4 NSCLC with KRAS G12C mutations

These are typically used after at least one prior treatment.

It's worth discussing with your oncologist whether combining SBRT with targeted therapy is appropriate for your specific situation, as treatment plans are highly individual.
