Hi Jill, I’m Faith Lutz. I had 6 weeks of radiation to my left lung for NSCLC in 2020. I did very well with it. The only problem I had was right at the very end like 3 days to the end . I had some really bad fatigue. But it was only about 4 days and I was up and going again. Hope this helps in your journey.

My husband Eugene had ten radiation treatments for his initial, large tumor and it totally disappeared. He had 3 treatments with radiation on a lesion in his brain. He has had no side effects at all. Now he is doing chemo, has had two rounds, and surprisingly has only lost some hair, etc.

I had 5&1/2 weeks of radiation combined with Chemo. It shrunk my tumor considerably.

My husband had radiation twice a day for a week and it was much easier than chemo. He does have some scarring of his lungs from it so he has some shortness of breath but it has worked. He also had gamma knife to his brain. It has been very effective.
