@A MyLungCancerTeam Member any treatment is a mixed bag. Some people get few or no effects and some get severe reactions. No way to know until you try it. A lot of people here have had truly mind boggling results with full remission and few problems. Others can end up in the hospital with life threatening effects. I go into any treatment with the knowledge of what could happen and the hope that it won't happen. You can stop any treatment at any time if the effects are too much but you won't know how it will hit you til you try.
I didn't get side effects from it other than fatigue, but when I developed plural effusion that had malignant cells they decided I needed to change to something else.
Great advice
I've had 30 radiation treatments and 6 chemo treatments. My oncologist is talking about putting me on Duevamulab. Haven't got a follow up petscan yet. Looks like an awful lot of horrible side effects
Yes I am getting that now. I have a year of it. I have completed 4 infusions and haven’t had any problems. My hemoglobin is low but I’m working to increase that. I’m not even sure immunotherapy is causing that.
