I was receiving Nerlasta/Larasta (sp?) with in 23 hours of each chemo treatment to help build up the WBC. There are some natural ways to do this also. But always go with your Doctors advice.
Thanks Harry. But I finished chemo almost a year ago - last December so I’m not sure that would be the reason.
Thanks Carl for the info. I have a message out to him. I have a scan scheduled at end of month. Keeping my fingers crossed and 🙏 going.
That is a good question, did you ask your oncologist about that? I to had a severe reaction to durvavumab but mine was severe neuropathy, my blood work was also coming back with low white count but not low enough to cause problems. My tumors in my lungs are gone but mt P E T scan shows the cancer has moved to the adrenal gland. Just stay positive.
Mickey, my chemo and radiation ended last December, almost a year ago. I started durvalumab (immunotherapy) in January but could only have one dose. I had a severe autoimmune reaction that laid me out with liver, heart and breathing problems and I just got back to normal in July. My tumors are stable so my oncologist is monitoring every 3 months with a CT scan. But now bloodwork showed that the below normal wbc count. Still from chemo? Or am I spreading to bone marrow?
