Hi! I had stage 1 b or a dont remember, sorry No treatment only surgery of r upper lobe r lung. Recently had fluid, pleural effusion on right lung. Aspirated 1100 ml bloody fluid. Biopsy showed positive. Dr said automatically stage 4 when its pleural effusion. Anyway, will have Pet scan soon, Friday and Mri for brain. Then dr says I qualify for Keytruda, possibly solo no chemo we will see. Dr feels very confident all should go well. Hugs 🤗 and kisses 😘 to all! Enjoy the rest of the week! 🍨🍿🥤🦋🥰🥳

I, too have NSCLC stage 4A. Stage 4 is when the cancer has metastasized. Mine is stage 4A because it is in the pleural fluid around my lung, all on the left side. I wasn't a candidate for the pleurodesis (talc) because parts of my lung were already sticking to the chest wall. I have a pluerex catheter that I drain every 1-2 days. The hope is that my next MRI at the end of August will show that my lung is no longer adhering to the chest wall, and I can have the pleurodesis then and get this tube removed. Glad to hear yours was effective.

Thanks, Kathy, Yes I am healthy and still try to work out and get my steps in every day but I also have hyperthyroidism and an aneurysm that will be removed soon. Once these few things that have been an ongoing thing for years are taken care of then all I have to study on is the cancer. I also have breast cancer but it has been there since 2020 and never taken care of until now. I am taking a pill every day for it called Prednisone 10 mg. I feel great and very positive about the outcome. I am a fighter all the way.
