@A MyLungCancerTeam Member they weren't able to do the pleurodesis procedure on me as there were spots where my lung was already attached to the wall and the doctor said it wouldn't take. I wish I didn't have this stupid catheter. I can't go in the pool or jacuzzi or even a bath! Keep us informed as to your progress!
Same happen to me but they done biopsy on lung and put talc powder to hold lung open and I can breathe no inhaler and no tube for draining. It's been 3 weeks today and back working out. I started keytruda Thursday.
I was diagnosed with stage 4A NSCLC with malignant pleural effusion in April of this year. While the internet prognosis is bleak, my doctor said he felt I had years. I've had a pleurex catheter placed so I can drain the fluid daily. It really helps with the shortness of breath. I am currently receiving keytruda immunotherapy every 6 weeks.
