Hi! For those with stage 1A or 1B non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), surgery is often a primary treatment option. Here are some relevant details:

- Lobectomy: This involves the removal of an entire lobe of the lung and is the preferred operation for treating NSCLC if technically possible.
- Wedge Resection: This involves removing a small, wedge-shaped piece of lung tissue that surrounds the tumor. It is typically performed if a person cannot undergo a lobectomy.

Both procedures aim to remove the cancerous tissue and offer the best chance for achieving complete remission if the entire tumor can be removed. If you have more specific questions or need support, consider connecting with others on MyLungCancerTeam.

Have stage 4 lung cancer. Been in chemo and immunotherapy for 3 months now. Horrible. I have no energy and have lost 65 lbs total. No quality of life. Told them I want a scan and c what that says. Praying that I'm making the rite decision to stop treatment and move on with what time I have left. Anybody else felt this way. Would love to have some feedback. Thanks
