I have Benadryl before infusions, it works, no more weird sensations, or rashes.
Had subsequent treatments. Found I needed to be premeditated with benadryl. No issues. Seems to be ok for me. Happy New Year everyone. We deserve it no !after what!!!
Benadryl is a very useful drug. I use is on occasion to help me sleep as it has sleepiness as a side effect, it also can cause a drought mouth. I have my water bottle nearby every night. It is a very safe drug, and has been around for 50 years, so it is very well know and cheap.
My husband has stage 4 lung cancer. We had such high hopes for Keytruda but it did not help him at all. Now back on chemo, a stronger one, tough on the body. Last PET was better. Hope there is a new effective chemo that isn’t so hard on the body. Helplessly hoping.
Immunotherapy can shrink existing tumors, reduce discomfort and help you live longer. I have a good friend who was on it 2 years, is on a break now. It is not a cure, but increases quality of life and extends life.
